Since the 5th of May it is official, the opening of our new headquarter was celebrated.
The showroom is our new anchorage at Hardenbergstraße 21, with plenty of storage space for our bamboo frames as well as presentation space for our finished bamboo bicycles, a bright, friendly office for warm as well as creative discussions and an extensive workshop area.
At 16 p.m. we opened our doors for all guests, bike enthusiasts, family, friends and energetic support to share a great evening together!
The official part was introduced by Maximilian and Jonas with a review of our milestones and news from Ghana. Kawbena Danso, the founder and head of the Yonso Project, and Felix Abel reported on the progressive construction of the "Project Model School" via a video massage.
Following this, we were welcomed by the Prime Minister of Schleswig-Holstein, Torsten Albig. He praised and confirmed us with the words, "Mr. Trump, look at this business. Then you see how global economy works."
We also welcomed the Minister of Finance of Schleswig-Holstein Monika Heinhold, the Secretary of State Frank Nägele, Tim and Karina from boo2east with great pleasure. This two guys enjoyed a year off from normal life and allowed themselves an adventure-filled journey from Germany to China on our my Boo bamboo bikes. They shared a video with us, which showed all their experiences and insights of the tour.
In addition to the official opening of our new headquarter, we also celebrated the premiere of the world's first bamboo pedelec, our brand-new my Volta. The my Volta makes every cyclist's heart beat faster and leaves nothing to be desired by the bamboo lover. It also features a powerful Shimano Steps mid-motor, with which you can handle any hill comfortably.
Overall 180 curious guests were located in our showroom, which were of course provided with delicious food and drinks. FISCHBAR Kiel served tasty fish buns from their food truck, the Røstprinzessin served a variety of tasty vegan dishes, and Lillebräu provided our guests with their craft beer. A big thank to all of you, who made this evening very special!
