On 22nd September we hit the road to Berlin, more particularly to the Malzfabrik, a creative center in Berlin’s district Schöneberg. There the press launch of Green Window, a sustainably oriented online shop took place in the evening. On this online shop my Boo is also offering its bikes and various supplies from now on. But hey, let us start from the beginning of this day, - step by step
Early in the morning we started our journey together with three bamboo bikes as well as some information material. At lunchtime we arrived in Berlin Schöneberg at the Malzfabrik where we already had been awaited by the event team. It informed us about the setup of our stand and generally about the procedure of the evening.
After we had pushed our boos into the atmospheric hall and prepared everything for the event we had lunch in order to have a break and to strengthen us for the evening. Afterwards we visited the bike retailer Boxbike, had a chat with the owners and presented them our new products for 2017.
And then finally the time had come! At around 6 p.m. the event started. In the wide hall of the Malzfabrik various Green Window-retailers presented their products just like at an exhibition. In this way one could conveniently have a look at diverse sustainable ideas in the area of cosmetics, fashion and lifestyle. This evening our boos once again impressed with their exceptional look. They were some real eye-catchers and provided good topics for conversation at our stand.
All of a sudden a flurry of camera flashlights was starting when Nena and Rea Garvey, the two Green Window sponsors entered the hall. It was incredible how many journalists and photographers can be gathered in one place. Every one of them yelled at the two in order to gain their attention and to look into the cameras. We were impressed! Rea Garvey seemed to be quite fond of our bikes since in the course of the evening he stopped by our stand, had a chat with us and wanted to know more about my Boo.
Besides him we also had visits from other German celebs like for example Anna Loos, a singer and actor or Marie Nasemann, well-known from the series Germany’s Next Topmodel who now blogs about sustainability. They stopped by to have a closer look at our boos and to learn more about the story behind them.
It was an impressive, eventful and very exciting evening. We were pleased to meet so many interesting people, to have great conversations and to make quite a few new contacts.
